Post by Xtadeus » Mon Sep 29, 2014 4:13 pm

Hi everybody.I just found this site, this soft and this forum and I was : waw !I am pc gamer, and I like to stream on internet. I usually use a logitech webcam to allow people to see me when I am playing game. But I found on internet it was possible to use digital Cameras as webcam. I have an old Nikon D90 and the video quality is superior to my logitech webcam. I have put a nikkor 50mm 1.8 on it and I tried your software to see myself in the video menu.So I can see the video is working when using live view, no problem. BUT here is my question. When I use the program OBS ( open Broadcaster Software ) in order to choose digicamcontrol as the main peripheric for video capture and therefore to see my head on obs for a live stream, I don't have the possibility to choose and to see me...( I tried Sparkocam and it was working )I don't know if someone can help me to use this software in order to import the D90 video into the obs soft to see myself on twitch tv using the D90 as a webcam ?Thanks and sorry for my bad english ( I am french speaking )

Hello and welcome! Using the Nikon D90 as a webcam to stream games over the Internet is a great idea for improving the quality of your live video. It looks like you've already successfully viewed the video feed from your D90 in the Digicamcontrol software, which is a good start.

However, it looks like you're having difficulty integrating this video stream into OBS Studio. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Make sure you have properly configured Digicamcontrol to stream live video from your D90. Check your video capture settings and make sure the software is connected to your camera correctly.
In OBS Studio, make sure you select Digicamcontrol as your video capture device. You should see your D90 among the available devices in OBS Video Capture Settings.
If you don't see your D90 listed in OBS, try restarting both software (Digicamcontrol and OBS) and reconnecting the camera.
Also make sure your D90 is set to send live video via USB. Some cameras require a specific configuration to function as a webcam.
If these steps do not solve your problem, you can visit the OBS Studio support forums or contact Digicamcontrol technical support for further assistance.

We hope you'll soon be able to stream your games in superb video quality on your Nikon D90! If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask. And don't worry about your English, you'll be fine!
I'm interested in streaming software. Recently, after reading an article streaming, discovered several new important aspects in this direction
